Queensland, home of the Great Barrier Reef

Reef

This is a wonderful day of highlights in the
Cairns region. You will be taken to Freshwater Station where
your hostess will meet you for the day. Once on board the
regions oldest and most picturesque railway, just sit back
and enjoy the scenery. On arrival in Kuranda you have 1.5
hours to explore the town and local markets. Meet at Skyrail,
a cableway that glides you silently over the canopy of the
beautiful untouched rainforest. After an great buffet lunch
at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, you have ample time
to explore the attractions, including movie theaters, stage
shows, craft demonstrations, and the world-famous Tjapukai

Fringed on three sides by Moreton Island National
Park, Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort is subtly nestled amongst

Fraser
Island
Fraser Island lies just off the east coast
of Australia. At 122 km long, it is the largest sand island
in the world. Majestic remnants of tall rainforest growing
on sand and half the world's perched freshwater dune lakes
are found inland from the beach. The combination of shifting
sand- dunes, tropical rainforests and lakes makes it an exceptional
site. This sub tropical island has a truly amazing array of
natural wonders including beautiful rainforests, pristine
lakes, endless surf beaches, immense sand blows, cliffs of
coloured sands, crystal clear streams and vast stretches of
mangroves. Fraser Island has at least 40 lakes including half
of the world’s perched dune lakes. Fraser is also home
to over 200 species of birds along with a variety of mammals,
wallabies, snakes, possums, turtles and flying foxes.
